I-M-MORAL POLICE

I vividly remember when i first heard about the Moral Police wielding it's powerful baton on some poor love bugs in Connaught Place, New Delhi, on Valentine's day, i was frankly very amused. Saffron Stoles around their necks, they went around ransacking this well decorated restaurant and in the process manhandling the young diners present there too. Now why on heavens earth would someone be bothered with people dating on Valentine's day is still an unanswered query for many of us. I also remember having a good chuckle when one of my mates i attended IIT-prep classes with, mentioned, that he had dedicated a song to these mongrels on the FM-Radio. Any guesses?
Who let the dogs out? Who? Who? Who?
This was one of the best timed humor, i had come across. I'll never forget that pal.


Of course, a few more years elapsed and Feb-14th drew out more youngsters into celebration, not to mention the publicity the saffron mongrels were providing.
Yet again, one fine day; although not at all fine for some poor young cherubic souls warming the benches of a garden in Meerut, were caught at the wrong end of some sadist mood swinging policemen and a police woman. Jobless that they always are, they found entertainment in beating the hell out of every couple or individual sitting in that garden / park. Why?
Moral policing of course.
It was one of the most depressing sites to watch this police woman, go berserk hitting, kicking those youngsters and tearing apart whatever little respect they had for themselves. To add insult to injury this brash police officer had the audacity to tape all that she was proudly doing. Talk about liberty and freedom of expression huh!
Sadly, one of the boys had gone missing for a couple of days, unable to cope with the shame and hurt he had been through.


Yet again, today while watching the news, i see these mongrels up to their tasks again, crying for the blood of a few students of the Fine Arts Dept of a University in Baroda. Reason, a painting exhibition had some nude pieces of work; human anatomy for god's sake.
Shockingly these students were arrested and i believe their Professor who out and out supported them was man-handled too.

Now i wish someone could explain, who do these dogs think they are- "God of our small things"

Who has given them the right to interfere?
Why do they keep getting away with this every now and then?
How long are we going to tolerate this Im-moral Policing?

It's a shame nobody has come out in the open to seriously condemn them, let alone stop them.
Let me list down a few acts that they consider "immoral"

• Holding hands in public
  
• Kissing on the cheek (We're sorry Mr Gere)
  
• Sitting on the park benches
• Celebrating Valentine's day ---Friendship day, Mother's day, Father's day-Beware

Some acts which they carry out, but are definitely Moral

• Riots
• Rape & Violence during Riots and Mob attacks
• Human trafficking
• Eve teasing
  
• Banning movies which don't align with their so called ideologies (Victims: Parzania and Fanaa)

I wish there was an answer to all this. I wish the administration could do something to condemn this, a small step to at least indicate it is not in support of this mayhem.

I only hope and pray the next time i hear of some maniac trying to moral-police, some young turk has the guts and gumption to give it back to them. One meaty blow in their nuts should be good enough for a beginning. Oh yes, please have someone video it too.

Or wait a sec, how about starting an anti-moral policing group.
We can call it "RTLLL"-Right to Live-Love-Laugh. Someone come up with something better plz.
