THE ODYSSEY towards ODESSA

I often sang within, "I want to break free", from this stranglehold of a sheepish life. Often we wish to be in our comfort zones, living an easy paced, seldom exciting but secure life. We go through the motions following a mechanical clock, direction known but goal forlorn.

Certain things come your way, they cause turbulence within and you do not realise the best way to respond. You do not know which friends to fall upon. I was going through mine. Only that i was lucky; mine was unnoticed or ignored.

One fine day, i decided, this was it. It was time to move on. It was time to "Come out of my Comfort Zone". It was exciting early on, brought positive anxiety. However as the days passed by the feeling was difficult to sink in. I was saddened to leave behind certain stuff. Certain friends, certain security and a certain environment that one doesn't shrug off so easily. Although, deep within i knew i had to and although till day i still find difficult to.

Ambition is necessary in life. Even if they change with your whims, count youself lucky to have one or many. Without one, your soul would endlessly yearn for one. The search engine should never stop.

As uncertainity seeps in, i look up to the many great men, who took "The Road not Taken" and carved a niche for themselves. I hope, i pray, i wish, i can carve mine too.

A joke that nearly terminated a friendship
A friendship, so honest, so meaningful, so true

I request, i reason
It was a folly
A harmless notion
A stupid joke, no cause for treason
Sometimes, i still ponder
Somehow, i still wonder
I wonder why?
If there are a few moments in life
I would want God to eliminate
